[Notes]

① Clarify rhyme: The rhyme of Taoist master is listed as the first rhyme of morning altar homework. The verse in its rhyme comes from the first part (the end of the classic) of the wonderful classic "Boundless Man" in Yuan Dynasty. The so-called "clarity" refers to the celestial scene of "Jade Qing is spotless", which is the ideal realm pursued and longed for by Taoism; Believers are required to be "quiet in their three careers", "indifferent, calm, away from the hubbub, and upright in spirit" in order to achieve the purpose of cultivating immortals and become immortals by soaring.

This song has the function of guiding believers to calm their spirits in the altar and eliminating evil spirits. It belongs to Yang Yun.

(2) The beautiful flowers echo, and the ten sides disappear: "Beautiful flowers" are beautiful jade, which refers to the instruments used by believers when chanting scriptures, such as clang, cymbals, wooden fish, hand bells, copper cups, drums, cymbals and so on. , also refers to Ying Yin. "Flowers ring like brocade" refers to the crisp and pleasant sound of musical instruments, and also refers to the beautiful melody of believers chanting cave chapters and chanting scriptures. The percussion instruments used in Taoist music are called instruments. Taoist music also includes flute, sheng, pipe, pipa, Ruan and erhu. ) "Ten faces", east, south, west, north, southeast, southwest, northwest and northeast are combined into ten faces. "Clean up", solemn silence. This sentence, accompanied by the chanting music at the opening ceremony, made the ten parties solemn and quiet, showing a quiet and wonderful scene.

(3) The river and the sea are silent, and the mountains swallow smoke: as the saying goes, "Honest and quiet way is teaching." "Quiet" is very important for monks, because only "quiet" can "gradually enter the true realm" (Chang Jing). "Jiang Hai is silent", quiet; "Swallow cigarettes", that's clear. The whole sentence is that there is no smoke without waves, and the mountains are beautiful. This sentence not only gives people a wonderful feeling, but also brings people endless thinking.

As we all know, rivers and seas are difficult to level, and there are many clouds in the mountains. If you sing this sentence, imagine yourself as if you are in the vast emptiness overlooking the rivers and lakes. It is calm and there is no smoke in the mountains. Everything is so quiet, so clear and so beautiful. By singing this sentence, we can realize and appreciate the rare realm of "being empty and quiet" that the old gentleman in Taishang said.

Zhen Fu, with 40,000 spirits, attracts the immortals: "Spirit", God. Taoism believes that everything is animistic, and even various organs of the human body have gods. The "god" mentioned here refers not only to the god in the void of the universe, but to all the gods living in various organs of the human body. For example, "Words are too yuan, brains are muddy, eyes are clear and mysterious, nose is bright and strong, ears are idle and quiet", the mouth god is Dani, the tongue god is right, the tooth god is Luo Qian, the throat god is a warrior, and the mind is Dan Yuan. "Zhen Fu" is calm and latent. "Zhen Fu" means that all the gods who live in various organs of the human body are calm and latent. This silence naturally lures the immortals to ride across the phoenix and come to the altar. In this case, it's fun for people to meet immortals! "gathering the immortals" can also be understood as (people are quiet) god comes from the body.

⑤ There is no foul atmosphere in the sky, and there is no demon dust on the ground: Taoism believes that the human body itself is a small world. The "heaven and earth" in this sentence also refers to the human body itself. "Dirty qi" and "demon dust" refer to the obstacles in secular desires and confuse human nature. This sentence, recited devoutly, can make people clear their hearts and desires, remove obstacles, treat the virtual world indifferently, and make their original pure nature reappear. In this way, it can be said that "Wan Li is cloudless and Wan Li is in Wan Li".

There are many mysteries in the mysterious cave: Taoism believes that quietness makes wisdom. "Ghost", Jing Ye. "Invisible wisdom" refers to wisdom born in silence. "hole", hole "Qing", Qing. "Wisdom in the underworld", the road to wisdom and enlightenment, was born in silence. "Many", infinite, infinite. "Xuan", mysterious. "Jessica Hester Hsuan" refers to both metaphysics and metaphysics. "A lot of metaphysics" refers to the merits of chanting Buddha, which is incredible. If the heart is clean, it will be empty, and the emptiness will be mysterious and open, and it will be all-encompassing. Therefore, Qiu Zuyun said, "When it is mysterious, it will open."

The word "Clarify Rhyme", first of all, is often recited (full of beautiful things) to make it quiet (ten ways to clarify). Then write the realm of silence (the rivers and seas are silent and the mountains swallow smoke). Then write the role of "quietness": quietness can recruit gods (all spirits are in the town, recruiting talents and talents); Quiet, visible (now) nature (no atmosphere in the sky, no demon dust on the ground); Quiet, wisdom can be born, and the Tao can be clear. Finally, manage the first sentence (full of beautiful flowers) and point out that the merits of chanting Buddha are incredible (a lot of metaphysics).

The scripture is in the same strain as the thought of "to be empty, to be quiet and to be faithful" of Taishang Laojun, and it is also in good agreement with the Taoist theory of self-cultivation and Taoism.
