0~3 years old is the golden stage of children's concentration development, and 0~6 years old is the explosive period of children's concentration. Cultivating children's concentration is to better cooperate with life and study, and concentration is also closely related to our self-control and understanding ability. If the child's concentration is not good, external information will not enter the child's brain well, thus affecting the development of thinking and the effect of learning.
Attention can be divided into unintentional attention (such as suddenly hearing singing in class) and intentional attention (such as paying attention to the teacher in class).
Focus has four dimensions:
1, the persistence of concentration can also be said to be the breadth of concentration, reflecting the length of time that children focus on something.
2, the distribution of concentration, that is, in carrying out various activities, whether the concentration can be allocated to more important things, such as reading while listening to songs, taking notes while listening to classes.
The method of training children's attention distribution can make children hold the ball through places with obstacles, so that children can concentrate on running while taking care of obstacles under their feet.
3. Attention shift refers to the purposeful and planned shift of attention from one thing to another. The speed of attention transfer reflects the flexibility of children's thinking. If the child's attention transfer ability is good, he can adapt to the next thing quickly after finishing the last thing. For example, students can devote themselves to the next subject as soon as possible after learning one subject.
4, the depth of concentration, for example, a glance at the phone number can remember several numbers, or accurately identify different shapes from 3 to 4 different shapes. Reading at a glance is also the depth of concentration.
The focus of attention development is different at different ages. We should pay more attention to children's attention span and transfer ability before the age of 2, especially between 1 year and a half and 2 years old, which is the key period for children's attention transfer ability training. After the age of 3, we can gradually integrate the four dimensions to guide development.
At the same time, at different ages of children, due to different levels of brain development, the ability to concentrate is also different. Before the age of 3, the child's intentional attention takes about 2-5 minutes, so we do not advocate pulling the child's attention as long as possible. In real life, we can guide children but don't force them to break the laws of natural development.
