Neonatal sleep pattern
Newborns need to sleep 18 hours every day, and each sleep cycle is about 45 minutes, with half of light sleep and half of deep sleep. They wake up every 2-4 hours to feed and open their eyes for a few minutes to 1 hour. At this stage, the baby's physiological rhythm has not been established.
Sleep patterns of 1-3-month-old infants
1-3 months old babies should sleep about 16 hours every day. You need to sleep four times during the day, each time 1.5-2 hours, while you need to sleep10-1hour at night. Babies sleep most of the time except for feeding, changing diapers and playing. At this stage, the baby's circadian rhythm begins to be established, and parents can help their baby to establish good sleep habits through proper lighting and environmental adjustment.
