Bohai university, referred to as Boda for short, is located in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, a famous historical and cultural city, which is close to the Bohai Sea. It is a comprehensive university organized by Liaoning provincial government. On April 5, 2000, it was formed by the merger of Jinzhou Normal University and Liaoning Business School. At that time, the school was tentatively named Jinzhou Normal College. In April 2003, it was renamed bohai university.
