As educators, we need to strengthen the consciousness of building a socialist core value system and make contributions to improving and strengthening the education of values. College students are the main group to cultivate and practice socialist core values. Promoting the cultivation and practice of college students' socialist core values is of great significance for implementing the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress.
First, the importance and urgency of building socialist core values
Socialist core values are the core and essence of the socialist core value system. To strengthen the construction of the socialist core value system, one of the basic tasks is to cultivate and practice the socialist core values.

Advocating freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law embodies the social spirit of China's * * * production party leading the people throughout the country to build Socialism with Chinese characteristics. From the classic writers of Marxism to the leaders of China's revolution, construction and reform, people's all-round free development, social justice and equality, national democracy and the rule of law are all expected elements of a highly developed socialist society. Freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law are mainly the value goals and orientations at the social level, and they are the spiritual motive force to encourage China producers and the Chinese nation to strive to build socialism, which embodies the connotation, characteristics and development direction of the socialist system. With the deepening of reform and opening up, the people's awareness of democracy and the rule of law has been continuously enhanced, and the voice of safeguarding social fairness and justice has become louder and louder, and the awareness of safeguarding individual freedom and equal rights has been continuously improved. It is under the voice of the people that the CPC Central Committee has incorporated freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law into the party's core values construction and policy orientation. Advocating patriotism, dedication, honesty and friendliness is the value orientation and moral norms of citizens, the basic value pursuit and moral requirements put forward from the perspective of personal development and social stability, and the inheritance of patriotism and traditional virtue culture. In modern society, people have higher requirements for socialist spiritual civilization. How to raise people's ideological and moral level to a new level has become a new topic in socialist cultural construction in the new period. Third, the orientation of the cultivation and construction of college students' socialist core values
(A) College students should be the basic group that embodies the socialist core values
Contemporary college students are basically post-90s. The problems among young college students are also social problems. College students are also facing the challenges brought by globalization, the confusion brought by social transformation, and the influence of the imbalance between socialist ideological construction ability and propaganda ability and the needs of social development on the formation of their correct values. At the same time, college students are in the growth stage, which is the period when their values are formed. Different values in society will inevitably have an impact on them. Some college students have some problems in varying degrees, such as loss of ideals and beliefs, low moral level and lack of integrity. Therefore, it is of great significance to further implement effective education on socialist core values for college students and establish a correct value benchmark to guide them to grow into talents.
(C) College students are also an important subject to cultivate and practice socialist core values
Socialist core values are ideals and lead the future. Youth belongs to the future. In the report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, two grand goals of one hundred years were reiterated: the Communist Party of China (CPC) will build a well-off society in an all-round way when it is founded, and New China will build a prosperous, strong, democratic, civilized and harmonious socialist modern country when it is founded. The 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to cultivate and practice the socialist core values. As a university, we should try our best to infiltrate the basic contents and requirements of core values into education and teaching, embody them in daily work and internalize them into students' minds. In practical work, how to cultivate and practice college students' socialist core values, I will talk about the following points in combination with my own student work practice.
(1) Adhere to political and ideological education activities.
Political and ideological education is an indispensable way to improve students' ideological and political consciousness, understand the party's line, principles and policies, and clarify the learning objectives and directions. At the same time, it is also one of the important means to guide college students' ideology with socialist core values. However, it is often because the form of political and ideological education is too single, the pertinence is not strong, the theory is empty talk, it is easy to become a mere formality, and it is difficult to persist.
How to make political and ideological education persistent and timely? One of the important aspects is to innovate forms and methods to integrate theory with practice. Only in this way can we persist for a long time and obtain the ideal effect. I think the following measures can be taken:
1. Regularly carry out theme education activities among students with the main content of establishing a correct world outlook, outlook on life, values and socialist concept of honor and disgrace. You can hold a theme class meeting and listen to lectures.
Here I want to take the theme class meeting as an example to illustrate. As we all know, a high-quality theme class meeting can achieve the educational purpose of rallying people's hearts, clarifying guidance, emotional infection, ideological cohesion, moral guidance and will motivation. Therefore, organizing high-quality theme class meetings is an important way to ensure the effectiveness of ideological and political education. Because our students work irregularly, it is necessary and necessary for each class to hold class meetings with different themes. (2) Give play to the role of ideological and political courses in the education of socialist core values.
Make use of the main channel of ideological and political theory courses to systematically educate college students on Socialism with Chinese characteristics theory system, socialist core value system and values, and actively promote the socialist core values into textbooks, classrooms and minds.
1. Build an excellent team of ideological and political teachers. Our school has an excellent team of ideological and political teachers headed by Professor Cai Hongwu. Like Zhang Yingying and Feng Yanyan, I know they also won prizes in the province.
2. Implement the teaching reform of ideological and political courses. What I know is the compilation of school-based textbooks and the reform of teaching methods. Marxist guiding ideology is the soul of the socialist core value system; Socialism with Chinese characteristics's ideal is the theme of the socialist core value system; National spirit and the spirit of the times are the essence of the socialist core value system; The socialist concept of honor and disgrace is the foundation of the socialist core value system. We should carry out different social practice activities to realize the education of students:
1. Organize party member and students to carry out social practice activities of loving the party, patriotism and socialism through the student party branch. For example, make full use of our school's geographical advantages and organize students to visit the Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall; You can also go to other cities if you have the conditions. The Department of Arts and Sciences organized students from Shenyang to visit the September 18th Memorial Hall in Shenyang during the summer vacation. Fushun has lei feng memorial, which is not bad. Organize youth league members and student cadres to carry out thematic social practice activities to cultivate and establish socialist core values through college league organizations and student unions. While carrying out ideological and political education for students, actively organize students to carry out colorful, healthy and progressive cultural activities, so that they can feel the positive cultural atmosphere on campus, which is conducive to promoting the formation of their socialist core values.
