When, who and where did the Wuyue culture originate?
The land of wuyue refers to Zhejiang. From the late Shang Dynasty to the early Zhou Dynasty, the land of wuyue was gradually formed, and in the Spring and Autumn Period, wuyue (now Jiangsu and Zhejiang) successively dominated the vassals. Since the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the Southern Dynasties, Zhejiang's national economic center moved south to the south of the Yangtze River, and then came from behind. It has been far ahead for thousands of years and prospered to this day. Starting from the ancient Jiande people, the primitive cultures of Hemudu, Majiabang and Liangzhu opened a chapter of civilization. According to legend, the descendants of Shun were sealed in Shangyu and Yuyao, and Dayu once went to Shaoxing to control water and was buried here, becoming the cultural center of Baiyue in the pre-Qin period. During the Spring and Autumn Period, the State of Yue, Sun Wu of the Three Kingdoms and wuyue of the Ten Kingdoms all started in Zhejiang. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Lin 'an was once the capital and occupied the political and cultural center. Hangzhou is one of the seven ancient capitals, while Song Cheng remains the same. Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Ningbo are the first batch of historical cities in China. There are numerous places of interest such as Pagoda of Six Harmonies in Hangzhou, Lanting in Shaoxing and Yuling, as well as famous Buddhist temples such as Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, Xiaoguo Temple on Tiantai, Tiantong Temple in Ningbo and Ayurveda Temple. There are also Hemudu and Majiabang ancient human sites.
