There are 32 liberal arts majors in Zhengzhou University, which are humanities experimental classes, philosophy, economics, finance, international economy and trade, law, social work, ideological and political education, pedagogy, China language and literature, English, Russian, German, Japanese, journalism, radio and television, advertising, network and new media, history, world history, archaeology and applied psychology.

Zhengzhou University, referred to as "Zheng Da", is located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. It is a national key university belonging to "Project 2 1 1" and "Double-Class University", and the only university in Henan Province with 2 1 1. Zhengzhou University, founded in 1956, is the first comprehensive university founded in New China. 196 1 merged into Zhengzhou Normal University, and 199 1 also merged into Huanghe University. Later, Zhengzhou University of Technology was founded in 1963, which was a key institution directly under the former Ministry of Chemical Industry. In July 2000, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology and Henan Medical University merged to form Zhengzhou University.
