Why do you want to study in Malta?

Work or study?

EU citizens (except Croatia), members of the European Economic Area and Swiss citizens do not need an employment permit to work in Malta. Employers must be able to prove that candidates from the EU, EEA, Switzerland or Malta cannot fill the vacancy.

Safety and health care department

Students from EU/European member countries registered in the University of Malta can enjoy free treatment in hospitals and health centers funded by Malta with EHIC cards. Students from non-EU/EEA countries are entitled to these services only in case of emergency. All non-EU/European international students must have a medical health test within 15 days after their arrival in Malta. This includes a chest X-ray.
