The history of Guangdong Ocean University Library originated from Shantou Advanced Fisheries Vocational School, which was established in 1935. In the past 70 years, the school has been relocated and renamed several times, and the cause of library has developed in twists and turns. 1997 1 With the substantial merger of former Zhanjiang Fisheries College and former Zhanjiang Agricultural College, Zhanjiang Ocean University Library was established. In April 2002, the library of Zhanjiang Meteorological School was merged, and the library of Zhanjiang Ocean University covered the main campus, Xiashan campus and seaside campus. In June 2005, Zhanjiang Ocean University Library was renamed as Guangdong Ocean University Library.
