The existing building area of Nanchang University Library is over 60,000 square meters. According to the distribution of students and disciplines, there are three construction sites: South Campus, North Campus and Qianhu Campus. The South Pavilion mainly collects documents of engineering and technology disciplines, while the North Pavilion mainly collects documents of arts and sciences. According to the situation that freshmen are the main readers, Qianhu Campus focuses on the literature and information of basic disciplines.

The library has circulation department, reading department, information retrieval and teaching and research department, information consultation department and document resources construction department; Information technology department, literature retrieval teaching and research section, comprehensive office.
