The library of Zhejiang University was built in 1897 as a college library building. It consists of a main library and five branch libraries. With a total construction area of 84,000 square meters, there are 6,800 reading seats. The main library is located in the library building of Yuquan Campus, and its branches are Science and Technology Branch (Yuquan Campus), Arts and Sciences Branch (Xixi Campus), Agriculture Branch (Huajiachi Campus), Medicine Branch (Zijingang Campus) and Basic Branch (Zijingang Campus).
