The library of the new campus of Shandong Jianzhu University is an open, multifunctional and fully automated comprehensive building integrating books, information, electronic reading and conference center. It was completed in 2003 and put into use in February 2004, with a construction area of about 42,000 square meters. Among them, the library currently has a construction area of 25,000 square meters, which is a beautiful campus landmark building combining the theory of ecological architecture and green architecture.

The new library has five departments: office, circulation department, reading department, editorial department and information department, and an information research institute, with 7/kloc-0 staff, 2/kloc-0 associate research librarian or above, 8 stacks, 6 reading rooms, reference room/kloc-0 staff and more than 3,500 reading seats. In addition, there is 15 hospital reference room. The management mode of the new library is the integration of collection, borrowing and reading, and the diversion of borrowing and returning. All the reading rooms in the stacks have realized full-open shelf borrowing and automatic management.
