The quality of domestic water should meet the requirements of current drinking water standards. Underground pools and high-level water tanks used for life and fire fighting should have measures to prevent water quality from deteriorating. The drainage and overflow pipes of the pool should not be directly connected with the sewage and wastewater system, and indirect drainage should be adopted.

The office building should ensure sufficient water and water pressure. The standard of domestic water consumption is 30 ~ 50L/ man-shift, and the hourly variation coefficient is 2.5 ~ 2.0. The hydrostatic pressure at the water supply fittings of sanitary ware should be controlled at 350 ~ 450 kPa. The fire storage capacity of the reservoir should be implemented according to the current fire protection code and the requirements of the local fire control and municipal departments.

According to the living habits of office workers and the local climate conditions, provide boiled water, warm drinking water or cold drink water. The drinking water quantity standard is 1 ~ 2L/ man-shift, and the hourly variation coefficient is 1.5. The heat source for preparing boiling water should be steam heating or gas heating. If electricity is needed as the heat source of the water heater, the consent of the local power supply department should be obtained.

Frequent running pumps should not be adjacent to the office building, and noise elimination and vibration reduction measures should be considered in the pump room. Waterproof hammer measures should be taken for the water supply booster pump and fire water supply pump riser of high-rise office building.

Corrosive wastewater shall be discharged through corrosion-resistant pipelines and shall not be merged with domestic sewage and wastewater systems.

High-rise and super-high-rise office buildings are equipped with technical equipment layer and open refuge layer for water supply and drainage, heating and air conditioning pipelines, and ground drainage devices should be installed.

The basement and elevator shaft of multi-storey, high-rise and super-high-rise office buildings should be equipped with fire fighting and drainage facilities.
