I wanted to go to Nanjing to find good friends to avoid disasters or something, but Nanjing was also flooded. Anyway, I went to check and found that the accumulated precipitation in Wuhan has reached at least 500+mm. What's the concept? The rain these days has been enough for my hometown for more than a year. No matter how powerful the drainage system is, the Yangtze River and lakes are almost full and have not been drained. I remember a rainstorm I experienced a few months ago. A low-lying path in front of the library forms a flowing river. After about an hour or two, the rain hasn't stopped, just a little less. The water in the low-lying path has been drained almost. Another time, I remember it clearly, was a rainstorm in June of 19. Lightning and thunder broke the transformer near the dormitory, which was particularly scary, so the whole area began.
Although it's just some trivial matters around us, it can be seen that Wuhan can still cope with it calmly under the general rainstorm conditions. However, the rain this time is really too heavy. In the process of urban construction, there are indeed problems such as insufficient drainage system and shrinking lake area. I don't know the specific problem. In this rainstorm, I saw many lovely Wuhan people, male students who delivered meals to girls in universities, police and soldiers who struggled in the front line of emergency rescue, many youth brigades who spontaneously provided beds to live in, and many off-road vehicle clubs dispatched to help guide vehicles to participate in disaster relief. I sincerely thank those who silently participated in the disaster relief.
