Central South University is both a 985 university and a 2 1 1 university. Central South University has a complete range of disciplines, including non-ferrous metals, medicine, rail transit and other disciplines, covering philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, medicine, management, art, radiation military and other disciplines 10. The school is an independent degree authorization examination unit.

The school has 50 national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, 49 national first-class undergraduate courses and 13 international massive open online course platform courses.
