In 2005, with the strong support of the leaders of the Municipal Party Committee and the Education Bureau, Shanghai Baosteel Meishan Iron and Steel Company sponsored 2 million yuan and the municipal government supported 3.5 million yuan to build a new Baosteel Meishan teaching building. The school covers an area of 33,254 square meters, with a building area of 10488 square meters.
