CBMdiscforWindows(CmbWin) is a retrieval software based on Windows, which is divided into stand-alone version and online version. The stand-alone version runs in the WindowsX stand-alone environment.
The online version runs in the network environment of WindowsNT, Windows2000 and WindowsXP. CBMdiscforInternet(CBMWeb) is a retrieval software based on WWW, which can be directly retrieved by using the Internet.

(1) Indexing and classification: All titles of CBMdisc are subject-indexed according to the MeSH Chinese version published by the National Library of Medical Sciences and the Thesaurus of Traditional Chinese Medicine published by the Institute of Library and Information Science of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and classified according to the China Library Classification and the Medical Professional Classification Table.
(2) Pre-indexed data: In order to speed up the update cycle of data, CBMdisc uses pre-indexed data to automatically index and classify the latest data by computer, and can retrieve subject words and classification numbers like manual indexing data. The subject words and classification numbers of pre-indexed data are hidden in the record and will not be displayed, and will be updated after further manual indexing.
