An Shu lived in Shanghai since childhood, and studied in the High School Attached to Xi Academy of Fine Arts, the Oil Painting Department of Xi Academy of Fine Arts and the Special Arts Department of Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. Later, he embarked on the road of personality exploration combining Chinese and western calligraphy and painting, and gradually formed a unique style of calligraphy and painting. His paintings focus on figures, human bodies and flowers, combining the artistic conception, pen and ink interest of traditional literati paintings with the powerful expressive force of folk art, and organically combining with western painting concepts, humanistic care and human modeling. His calligraphy has been handed down from his own family, and his character has also developed.

From the end of 2005 to 2006, he participated in a series of activities to commemorate the centenary of Shutong, and was entrusted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Book Association to undertake the exhibition of Shutong Revolution and Momo's Career and the exhibition of An Shu and Shuti's students' calligraphy and painting, which were exhibited in China Modern Literature Museum, Shandong Museum and Shaanxi Art Museum respectively.

In March 2006, he was appointed as the director of China World Association for the Promotion of Ethnic Cultural Exchanges of the Ministry of Culture.

In 2009, he edited and published a large-scale Collection of Paintings and Calligraphy in Memory of Shutong, held the launching ceremony of Commemorating Shutong in Junbo in October, held Renping Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition in An Shu, and toured Yinchuan, Ningxia in June165438+1October.
