Hunan University of Technology is a comprehensive university with a history of more than 60 years. In February 2006, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed from Zhuzhou Institute of Technology to Hunan University of Technology.
The school has two campuses with a total area of 3853.7 mu. The library has a total construction area of 55,430.29 square meters and a collection of more than 2,832,700 books. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 404 million yuan, and there are 8297 digital terminals.
The school has advanced computer network service system, standard plastic track and field, gymnasium and various sports venues, which can meet the needs of physical education teaching.
At present, the school has established extensive scientific research cooperation and academic exchange relations with famous foreign universities and research institutions, such as Arizona University, new york State University, California State University, university of akron, Derby University, Lincoln University, Macquarie University, and the University of New South Wales.
