Brief introduction of Ganzhou library

Ganzhou Library was founded in 1926, first named Ganxian Public Zhongshan Library, then named Gannan Public Zhongshan Library and New Gannan Library, and 1952 was renamed Ganzhou Library. There are more than 280,000 books, more than 600 kinds of newspapers and periodicals, more than 30,000 ancient books, Zhengqi Daily founded by Mr. Jiang Jingguo during his activities in Gannan and rich local documents in Gannan.

Ganzhou Library consists of two parts, old and new, with different styles. The old library is located at No.34 Jiankang Road in the urban area, built at 1984, with a construction area of 2,200 square meters. Now it is Ganzhou Children's Library and the first branch of Ganzhou Library. After being changed to the Municipal Children's Library, it is a better place for children's moral education, cultural knowledge, entertainment and leisure in Ganzhou. The new museum is located on Changzheng Avenue, in the east of the city center, next to the city sports center. It was completed and put into use on 200 1 10, with a building area of 9834.34 square meters, which is an important part of Ganzhou culture and information. There are books, periodicals, newspapers, children's reading rooms, local literature and electronic reading rooms 1 room, 80 computers, 2 multifunctional lecture halls, exhibition halls, bookstores and children's training classrooms, 200 seats for children and 1200 seats for self-study reading.
