Multi-branched, curved, reddish-brown or brown on the surface, with fine lines in the longitudinal direction, scattered climbing roots or punctate root scars, mostly nodes, and slightly enlarged stem nodes. Tough, broken face turns yellow and white. The leaves are opposite, most of them have fallen off, elliptic or ovate-lanceolate, sometimes slightly curled, light green or dark green, thick paper.
