The main collections of Bodley Library
Bodley Library includes the old library (mainly collecting professional documents such as English literature, modern history, ancient history and classical language and literature), the new library (mainly collecting professional documents such as philosophy, politics, economy, geography, maps, music, orientalism and Slavic studies), Radcliffe Library (mainly collecting professional documents such as modern history, education, culture and art, English literature and Latin American studies) and Radcliffe Science Library. In addition, all departments have comprehensive or specialized libraries. As of July 3 1986, * * * has collected 5 million books, 0/34,000 manuscripts, more than 5,000 ancient books, 985,000 maps and 242,000 microfilms, and the current issue is 49,000. The library has 24 reading rooms with 2078 seats and receives an average of 32000 readers every day. * * * There are 374 staff members. It provides services such as borrowing, reading, interlibrary loan, reference and reproduction, and often holds lectures, exhibitions and publishes publications such as Bodley Library Records.
