As far as binding is concerned, books in Hong Kong and Taiwan are better than those in inland areas, which is related to the book market environment on both sides of the strait. Copyright protection in Hong Kong and Taiwan is relatively good, and piracy is almost absent, because the punishment is relatively strong. Inland is much looser. Publishing houses make great efforts to make books, and the pricing is naturally expensive, but consumers of the same content definitely prefer piracy. Therefore, publishers can only comply with the market demand ("bad money drives out good money") and settle for the second best.
As for the content, it depends on the type of personal choice.
1. Ancient books
The inland is richer, the historical materials are more detailed, and the price is beautiful. Preferably inland.
2. Foreign language novels
Inland translation is closer to our reading habits, especially names and places. Inland priority.
