From 5 June 2008 to 2009 10, the Statistical Yearbook of Cultural Relics in China was compiled by the Finance Department of the Ministry of Culture and published by the National Library Press. Yearbooks are divided into two parts: historical data and annual data. Historical materials are compiled according to the statistical statements of the Ministry of Culture over the years and the cultural undertakings statistics of 1966 to 1977 supplemented by the cultural authorities of various provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and the cultural undertakings statistics of relevant departments are collected. The annual data are collated and compiled according to the 2008 Statistical Annual Report of Culture and Related Industries submitted by the cultural departments of provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the relevant reports of the Foreign Cultural Liaison Department of the Ministry of Culture (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).
