Characteristics of Jinwen Book Award
The Golden Book Award of the National Library has distinctive features in both content and form:

First, the positioning of the award is to select popular books. The selection scope includes popular science books in social science and natural science, especially books that can spread knowledge, cultivate sentiment and improve the public's humanities literacy.

The second is the public welfare of prize-winning activities. This activity is an important measure for the National Library to expand its services. In the pre-preparation of the event, the National Library will solve the copyright problem of all the participating books, and invest a lot of manpower and material resources to digitize all the participating books online, and establish a special website to provide reading, voting, book review, book recommendation and other functions. Based on this, the National Library hopes to gradually build a platform for collecting and publishing book resources and become another window for the National Library to serve the public.

Third, award-winning books are produced by combining social voting with expert review, which can reflect and guide readers' aesthetic orientation and cultural consumption. The selection of this award will pay full attention to the opinions of readers, and the extensive participation of readers is a major feature of the selection. At the same time, in order to better guide the public to read, the 50 books voted by readers need to be screened again by the jury, and finally 10 award-winning books will be selected.
