Founded in 192 1, the school was originally named "Guide St. Paul Hospital Nursing School", which is one of the earliest schools in Henan Province to offer medical specialties.

Xiamen Medical College

Xiamen Medical College was founded in September 1953, and was formed by the merger of the only public nursing school in southern Fujian at that time-Xiamen Nursing Vocational School, Xiamen Medical College and Xiamen Second Hospital Nursing School. Anhui medical college

The school's predecessor was Hefei Health School in Anhui Province, which was founded in 1955.
