The continuous development of information technology is also reflected in the construction of libraries. This paper puts forward the idea of digital library and inter-school library alliance to realize resource sharing and improve the utilization rate of books. In addition, combined with the development of the library and adhering to the principle of "student-centered", this paper puts forward some ideas on how to help students establish a coherent knowledge system through reading activities. I hope that through the joint efforts of teachers and students, we can cultivate a good reading atmosphere.
Keywords: digital library, library consortium reading activities
"the rich don't have to buy fertile land, there are thousands of pounds of millet in the book; There is no need to build a high hall to live in, and the book has its own golden house; I don't hate that no one goes out, and there are many cars and horses in the book; Don't hate unscrupulous media when you get married. There is Yan Ruyu in the book; If a person is satisfied with his ambition. Read the six classics to the window. " As early as more than 1000 years ago, Song Zhenzong's "Encourage Learning" expounded the importance of reading.
Although reading seems a little narrow for all is silent, Yan Ruyu and the Golden House, reading is an indispensable part of any modern person. Reading is to absorb knowledge, which is an extremely important auxiliary force of education. Cultivating the good habit of reading from an early age will be of great help to students' knowledge structure and cultural accomplishment. Especially in this information-flooded society, it is an art to guide children to read what books and how to read them.
First, let the library enter the students.
The greatest function of books is to use them. If this basic principle is abandoned, even if there are enough books and the quality of books is high enough, it will only be a tree without roots and passive water.
China's long-term exam-oriented education has branded teachers, parents and even students, that is, "learn textbooks well and do well in exams." Although the Ministry of Education has begun to emphasize quality education, under the pressure of the enrollment rate, sometimes it seems that we have to "give up the basics". Education is to teach children how to study, not how to take exams. We must admit that there is a transition period from exam-oriented education to quality education, and there are still some obstacles in this transition period, but the overall direction of primary and secondary education is correct and beneficial.
At present, all primary and secondary schools have made some achievements in the construction of campus library, but how to get students out of the classroom and into the library is an important topic. School teachers have the responsibility and obligation to guide students, cultivate and encourage their reading enthusiasm and create a good reading atmosphere.
Second, the quality and quantity of books.
The Regulations for Libraries (Rooms) in Primary and Secondary Schools (Revised), which was implemented by the Ministry of Education on May 1 2003, clearly defined the collection of books in libraries (rooms). According to the number of primary school students, the per capita library should reach 30 volumes, 60 newspapers and periodicals, 120 reference books. The number of secondary primary schools has reached per capita 15, with 40 newspapers and periodicals and 80 reference books for teaching. In addition, the classification of books in primary and secondary school libraries (rooms) is specified in detail (see attached table 1 and attached table 2 for details).
Although the Ministry of Education has clear regulations on the collection of books in various schools, overall, due to the influence of funds and attention, the construction of primary school libraries needs to be further improved.
Primary and secondary school students are in the dual stage of intelligence and psychology, and they are very eager for knowledge. School libraries can't buy books with low utilization rate in order to cope with reviews; In addition, we should regularly clean up old books and update new books to keep pace with social development.
Third, the future development-digital library
Libraries are public resources. How to give full play to this public resource? The development of information technology gives us the answer-building a digital library. So far, there is no accepted concept of digital library. It is basically an electronic information warehouse, which can store a lot of information in various forms. Users can easily access it through the network to obtain this information, and its information storage and user access are not limited by geographical areas. The function of digital library covers the inquiry, storage and publication of information (generally referred to as bibliography), so that this information can be spread on the network, so as to maximize the use of this information. For a simple example, a copy of Hamlet can only be read by one student, but after digitization, the electronic version of Hamlet can be seen through the Internet or campus LAN, so its utilization rate is greatly improved and the needs of students are greatly met.
After the hardware facilities are mature, it is necessary to cultivate students' ability to obtain information. Only by teaching them how to use the digital library can we give full play to its functions. This teaching process is completed by the computer teacher, and there are basically no obstacles.
Four, the establishment of children's library alliance, realize the resources * * *
Generally speaking, the scale of primary and secondary schools is relatively small, which will inevitably lead to a shortage of books. How to overcome this problem, the "digital library" mentioned above is a solution, and the author thinks there is still a shortcut to follow-establishing an inter-school library alliance. The basis of this idea is also digitalization, because only digitalization can realize the complete enjoyment of resources.
For example, there are three districts (X, Y, Z) in A city, and a children's library alliance can be established by districts, because being in the same district shows that the geographical coverage is not very large, and interlibrary loan is feasible. Suppose there are 15 primary and secondary schools in X area, and the students of these 15 schools all hold library cards, with which they can borrow books from all schools in the league. Students can see the distribution of a book in this area, whether it is borrowed or in the library by querying a book through the internet.
The author thinks that children's library alliance can greatly improve the utilization rate of books and promote inter-school exchanges and cooperation.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) establishes a coherent knowledge system through reading activities.
1, give play to students' subjective consciousness
Reading activities should always pay attention to children's subjective consciousness and understand students' reading interest and psychological characteristics. Relatively speaking, junior students have little knowledge accumulation and are curious about everything. In view of this situation, teachers need to guide students to read some simple common sense books and answer their questions about natural phenomena. Senior students are mature and have a certain understanding of what kind of books they like to read. Some students like history, while others like science. In this case, teachers should encourage students' interest in reading impartially and let more students set foot in a slightly wider reading field through communication.
2. Flexible reading activities.
The practice of reading activities proves that only when the theme, content and form of reading activities are close to students' reality can they have strong vitality, so that reading activities can go deep into students and become an interest rather than a task.
In my opinion, topic mining can be carried out from the following aspects.
First, it should be combined with classroom teaching. Take the Yellow Crane Tower in Cui Haodeng as an example. There has always been a misunderstanding in the teaching of ancient poetry. Many teachers are used to focusing on the interpretation of single words, single sentences and whole poems, so that students think that reading ancient poems means focusing on key words, which ignores the background of the poet's time, his own life experience and the mentality of writing this poem. Teachers can use this poem as an introduction, so that students can read Cui Hao's biography, a historical event, or the historical origin of the Yellow Crane Tower, its geographical location-Wuchang, and stories related to Wuchang, and even lead to other kinds of poems and essays related to the Yellow Crane Tower, such as Yue Fei's My Feelings of Climbing the Yellow Crane Tower.
Second, it should be combined with social and cultural customs. For example, when the Dragon Boat Festival arrives, you should eat zongzi. Teachers can guide students to read some books about traditional festivals in China, the origin and allusions of these festivals, and who to commemorate; It can also come from the life background of the characters, combined with a certain history. Through this layer-by-layer excavation, students' knowledge structure has been expanded, and at the same time, it has good consistency.
Third, combine the history and culture of the city where the school is located. Know yourself and know yourself, and you will win every battle. Nowadays, many students lack a sense of identity with their hometown (especially some small cities), just as the society does not agree with the quality of China people. This is mainly because they don't understand their own history, follow the crowd and feel inferior. Loving the motherland and hometown is an important content of youth education. Through this study of history and humanities, combined with holding reading experience, debate contest and speech contest on the same theme, I believe it will have good results.
Knowledge is endless, and reading is the most direct way to learn. The construction of primary and secondary school libraries and the development of reading activities will actively cultivate students' reading habits and improve their reading ability and thinking ability.
The times are constantly changing, and students' family education and living environment are undergoing tremendous changes, which all pose challenges to school education. How to cultivate children more effectively, how to carry out reading activities and how to create the greatest spiritual wealth with limited resources are what we need to reflect and explore all the time in our future work.
