Extended data

After the compilation of Yongle Dadian was completed in Yongle period, only one copy was copied, which was called Yongle Original. When I arrived in Jiajing Dynasty, I was afraid that the ceremony would be damaged, and I re-recorded a copy called Jiajing Copy. Because these two "Da Dian" were hidden in the palace, they were not published and rarely circulated. They were stolen, robbed and burned during the change of dynasties, and the "original" disappeared, leaving only more than 400 copies.

Due to the voluminous volume and the large number of people involved in the compilation of Yongle Dadian, it is inevitable that there are differences and mistakes before and after, but this does not affect its great value. Yongle Dadian is the most famous ancient book in China and the largest encyclopedia in the world so far. Its scale is far ahead of all kinds of books compiled by previous generations, which can be called a book of ten thousand volumes, leaving many rich stories and mysteries for future generations.

In modern times, due to the loss of Yongle Dadian, there were only 400 volumes left, but it still achieved good results. Since its birth, the National Library of China has assumed the responsibility of a national library, preserving and collecting precious documents such as Yongle Dadian. At the beginning of the preparation of Shi Jing Library, the Ministry of Economic Affairs proposed to hand over the existing Yongle Grand Ceremony of the Hanlin Academy to Shi Jing Library for collection.
