The youth travel budget mentioned below is RMB 100-400 yuan every night. That was a long time ago, but the watermarked ones were taken by themselves, and the pictures came from predetermined websites such as hostelworld and booking.
I. Theme
Books and beds, Tokyo, Japan
This youth brigade has a vivid Chinese name called "Scholarly Dream". It is a well-known online celebrity store. At the beginning, it was also because of the beautiful pictures on the Internet that it ran from Shibuya to Ikebukuro, traveled all over Tokyo and stayed for one night.
The Youth Travel Service is in a building at the exit of Ikebukuro Station, and the floor is very hidden. You can book an ordinary cubicle or a cubicle with a bookshelf. The facilities are the same, but the latter are fewer, more expensive and more beautiful. Climbing into the bookshelf is a capsule, which is a little claustrophobic, but it's super cool to think that there are books outside. Ikebukuro is a large secondary gathering place in Tokyo, and several huge surrounding shops nearby are easy to visit. Snack Street and izakaya are open late into the night, noisy and sleepless.
In front of the bookshelf is a large row of sofas, and the ceiling is also decorated with interesting books. There are novels, picture books, comics and magazines. Everyone drew some books on the bookshelf and went to the sofa to read. I'm sitting cross-legged here watching the slam dunk national competition. Turn off the lights at night and climb back to the bookshelf to sleep. Very interesting.
Two. atmosphere
Urban backpackers in Stockholm, Sweden
It is considered to be the best youth travel in Stockholm and even Sweden, and it is also the place where I am completely fascinated by youth travel. I still remember this place until I lived in so many youth brigades.
The whole space of the youth travel agency is underground, but it is not dark and humid at all. Indoor lighting is very comfortable and clean. Every few rooms have a common room and bathroom, and the decoration of each area is different. Everyone should take off their shoes when they enter the door. The ground is covered with soft carpets, and every corner is filled with Apple computers for guests to use. Chess and cards, movies, magazines ... books and DVDs are piled up into mountains, and there is no shortage of things and people to play in every corner. What's more, there is a sauna. I enjoyed a few nights of free Nordic sauna here and frankly met a bunch of ghost girls, which was very novel.
At that time, I just started walking alone, and I was still a curious girl full of enthusiasm for the world. Maybe the atmosphere is so good that I can talk to different people for four hours. The little French brother sitting next to him can chat with his eyes, run to the basement to explore together, and run between all kinds of locked and unlocked rooms and big pipes. Later, I wrote in my travel notes: "In fact, traveling alone is the least lonely, because you don't know who you will meet along the way. Jump out of your own small circle, chat with strangers, listen to countless interesting stories and embrace the world. 」
Iii. a large number
Art Paris, Paris, France
I spent a week in Paris with two youth teams. I prefer this one in the 14 area to the second bustling but slightly chaotic area 9.
Looking for accommodation in Paris, what matters is not the reputation of the price, but the location. Going out may be a bustling tourist area, elegant and ancient classical style, or a little black boy wandering around. 14 is a traditional peaceful middle-class block in Paris. The streets are clean and there are not many tourists. It's very reassuring to stroll alone. When I bought dessert in an unknown cake shop in a nearby neighborhood, the old clerk called me miss (the name for young girls), and I was elated.
Rooms and public areas are decorated regularly, the interior is bright, free breakfast is rich, and the memory is deep in an ancient elevator. Pull open the fence, push the door and go in. It's interesting. My roommate, my Israeli brother, went out to eat, wandering in the quiet street of 14 in the middle of the night, with clear steps, passing by the small park, the huge ceiling and French windows of the coffee shop.
ⅳ. Decoration
Gracia House in Barcelona, Spain
When I was looking for accommodation in Barcelona, I looked up Weibo in hostelword and found the recommendation of this house. I fell in love with a photo with a mirror on the wall at first sight, and lived here for several nights, so I was conquered by its value.
This youth hostel is located on gracia Street in Barcelona. It is prosperous and fashionable here, but it is not the most tacky tourist area. A few steps away is Gaudi's Mira House. It's not cheap in youth travel, but it can't stand the beauty. The bed is a delicate white wooden bed, and the corner of the public area is very suitable for putting small seats. The decoration shows a relaxed modern European style, which I like very much.
Because of the proximity, I went to Gracia, Barcelona's most literary district, in the evening. Go to any pub that looks pleasing to the eye, have a glass of sparkling wine (kava) and eat some cheese and tomato bread. Local people sit in outdoor stalls and in front of abandoned stone churches, accompanied by wine, snacks and late-night chat. I really miss that night.
Verb (abbreviation for verb) gourmet
Mundo Hostel in Krakow, Poland
This house is definitely a highlight of my youth travel career, and the reasons are particularly vulgar-food and beautiful women.
The train from Warsaw to Krakow is simply a backpacker's train. Everyone carries a mountaineering bag and hangs a damp-proof mat. There are well-preserved old towns and Jewish areas here, with exquisite architecture and low prices, which are almost the same as those in China. No wonder young people like them.
In this room shared by six people, there was a bunk man who never showed up before I checked out. Roommates are two Scottish boys and two Dutch boys, just turned 20, tall and straight, with high face value and orthodox fresh meat. I seldom talk to boys younger than me, so I drank a glass of beer and went back. When I woke up the next day, I saw clothes and luggage all over the floor. Four bodies in underwear were sleeping on their stomachs, and the visual impact was super out of line.
And the breakfast in this family is the most abundant in the youth tour I have ever stayed in. In fact, many youth brigades provide free breakfast, but some are very shabby, and some bread slices and sauces are baked by drivers. There is a table full of fruits, yogurt juice and hot drinks, fried sausages, several kinds of bread, ham and cheese. The staff on the side are still making pancakes, pouring butter and maple syrup, all of which are free. A big meal lights up the mood of the day.
ⅵ. Tradition
Palmes Villa, London, UK Swiss Villa
At that time, I finished my studies in England. The dormitory has expired, but there is still some time for the return ticket, so I dragged all my luggage and stayed in the youth hostel in London for five days. This elegant youth tour left me the last good memory of London, and then I said goodbye to it.
The youth travel market in London is a bit weird. There are many low-priced youth tours in the best section of the city center, but the environment is very bad: a narrow room is crowded with more than a dozen iron beds, and a small window reveals a little light. I was really scared several times, so I chose the border a little farther north of the city, with direct subway and convenient transportation.
The youth hostel is in a brick-red Victorian mansion-it's already cool. Through the huge hall, I walked up the wooden stairs engraved with columns. The floor, bed and closet are all dark wood color, the ground is covered with dark rose short fiber carpet, and the bed curtain is the same color. The bathroom is also very big. The British style is really impressive.
Far from the tourist area, north London is quiet and rich. I remember one time I wandered around and broke into a middle-class community. Trees and shrubs are neatly trimmed, and there are light-colored and carved classical mansions along the road. These buildings are very beautiful, like a different world.
ⅶ. Quiet
Jordan Shelter in Amsterdam, Netherlands
At first, I lived in Flying Pig, the most famous youth brigade in the city. I went to the party every night until after midnight. I was too tall and noisy to stand it, so I took my luggage and fled to another house-this one.
In similar European cities, Eminem is really a fascinating place, young, energetic, modern and distinctive. In Amsterdam, which is full of debauchery, this youth brigade seems to be different. It is run by a non-profit church (reminiscent of the YMCA), with Bible quotations hanging on the corridors and bathroom doors, just like school dormitories or public libraries. There is no decoration in the room, and the iron bed is as simple as abstinence. There is access control at night, and alcohol and tobacco are prohibited indoors. The atmosphere is a bit rigid, but it also brings two great benefits-quiet and cheap.
After all, it's too easy to have fun in Amsterdam. Music, alcohol and young people who want to have fun are everywhere. Not everyone can stand the constant late-night parties and noise. I am particularly impressed by this abstinence department, which is a party youth brigade that will be self-satisfied after living more. Just like its name-shelter.
Ⅷ. Design
New york, new york, USA.
I stayed in new york for a week and changed three youth brigades. This is the first and favorite one. It's in Long Island City, Queens, near Manhattan, because the subway can take luggage directly from the airport.
Not living in Manhattan always feels like a fake new york. Later, two youth brigades moved to midtown Manhattan and Upper West Side, each with its own charm, and neither was as beautiful and pleasant as this one. In the west of this area, Manhattan Island is separated by a river. At the end of Qinglv Road, you can vaguely see the sunset at half-time in new york.
The coffee shop and public areas on the first floor of the Youth Travel Service are all in the popular American industrial style, and the modern facilities are also very new. The blue walls of the room look neat. What I remember most is the bathroom in this house. There are beautiful anti-skid mats and small stools on the porch side of the room, which makes the dry and wet separation excellent. According to my personal youth travel experience, the cleanliness of the bathroom in the room is generally not as good as that of the public bathroom, which is prone to moisture and the sound of the same room. This solves these problems very well.
ⅸ. Details
Tokyo, Japan, clever owl
The second time I came to Japan, I only stayed in Tokyo for a short day. I had to rush to the Shinkansen in the northeast early the next morning, so I found this near the station. The traffic and facilities didn't let me down.
This youth travel agency is next to Bating Hori Station of JR Julia Line, and it can go directly to Tokyo Station in a few minutes, close to Tsukiji Market. The white signboard at the corner of the intersection is very tasty. There is a coffee shop on the first floor, and the blackboard wall at the front desk is covered with all kinds of graffiti. The facilities are very new, the bed is very thick, and the privacy with curtains is enough to give the youth brigade a great bonus. It's touching to take the stairs without climbing the iron shelf. There is a safe with a key in the stairs at the head of the bed, and the bed in the youth hostel is spacious. Shower room, each compartment has an outer room for clothes, dry and wet separation, clean and spacious, equipped with shampoo and hair dryer is also very easy to use
This house doesn't have many distinctive highlights, and it doesn't have a good public space, but the location of lights and sockets, the design of toilets, and a clean environment ... it is these details that make a youth tour group very comfortable. It makes people feel that "it is worthy of Japan."
ⅹ. Warm
Pine Hotel Queenstown, New Zealand
New Zealand is go on road trip with parents after work. Neither they nor I are very materialistic people. During those days in Queenstown, we stayed in this simple youth travel agency. It's almost the same as my dormitory in England.
Several rooms in a small block are all of this name. There are beds in youth hostels and single-family cabins with a sense of design. We live in a similar apartment and share a kitchen. The layout of the room and kitchen, and even the scenery outside the window, are very similar to the student dormitories in Europe and America. I bought ingredients in the town and went back to the kitchen to cook for myself, which made my parents very satisfied. Outside the window are lawns and distant mountains, quiet and peaceful. There is a sense of sight when studying abroad, which also brings back many memories.
Write it at the end
What is written here is the tip of the iceberg, and there are still many memories about youth travel. LA Venice Beach has a simple hippie temperament. Sivaningen, the Netherlands, is a dark hut like the home of the sea. Montreal is fortunate to sleep alone for three days 12. The ceiling of the youth brigade in Copenhagen is covered with graffiti. Seville has beautiful blue walls and a Spanish garden. The youth brigade in Lithuania feels haunted by the ruins of a church. Myanmar sleeps in a Datong shop with mice. The youth brigade in Indonesia keeps pet lizards and pythons. Japan sleeps on tatami quilts and bean pillows. ...
I will tell these stories again when I have a chance.
Caring for the environment, self-sufficiency, communication and sharing-this is the way of hospitality for youth travel, and it is also my way of traveling. After so many years, a person still likes to live in youth travel all over the world to find cheap special accommodation. I prefer to eat in a nearby snack bar and chat with strangers rather than being served from head to toe in a high-end hotel. It seems that this way can be closer to the real world as I expected.
