Science Explorer (American authoritative textbook) ......

Daughter Ma has been promoted to the third grade. I usually like to watch American TV shows such as Friends and Emergency Room. I told her to read more English original works, but she never read the English version when reading the Chinese version. "It's a good thing to watch American TV shows such as Friends and Emergency Room. Although I haven't seen these two American dramas myself, as far as language learning is concerned, I have learned much more about language, knowledge and culture through drama than from books, just as Dashan speaks Chinese better than many people in China. I believe that apart from cross talk, China's plays also have a lot of nutrients.

However, if it is too dramatic, it is not balanced enough. From my own point of view, as far as audio-visual materials are concerned, the most helpful audio-visual materials for learning English should be situational teaching films (with written materials), documentaries and talk shows:

1, Situational Teaching Film (with written teaching materials attached): When I was studying the management course of Sino-foreign joint ventures, the seminar of the University of Finance and Economics used the TV teaching film "The Satellina Plan" (broadcast on CCTV), watched Leap and listened to the radio teaching program "Visitors from Vancouver". After editing and sorting out the teaching drama, I can learn more carefully and deeply.

2. Documentary is authentic in language and standardized in expression. You can guess the words you don't understand by combining the pictures. Nowadays, many movies of Exploration and National Geographic are published with textbooks. You can learn English by watching movies and reading words.
