Lingnan Teachers College, referred to as "Lingnan Teachers College", is a full-time undergraduate college located in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province.
It is the authorized construction unit of newly-added master's degree in Guangdong Province, the first batch of pilot universities for the transformation of ordinary undergraduate courses in Guangdong Province, the universities jointly built by provinces and cities, the national "Hundred Schools Project" construction institution, the chairman unit of the Guangdong Special Education Teachers Development Alliance, and the first batch of social work professional training bases of the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
The history of Lingnan Teachers College can be traced back to Leiyang College, which was founded in 1636. 1903 school was transformed into Leiyang middle school, 1904 normal education was established. 1935 was renamed Leizhou Normal School in Guangdong Province.
/kloc-0 was officially transformed into Leizhou Teachers College in 1978, upgraded to Zhanjiang Teachers College in 199 1 and became Lingnan Teachers College in 20 14.
As of April 2022, the school campus covers an area of 2,569 mu (Cunjin Campus 1.009 mu, Huguang Campus under construction 1.560 mu), with a construction area of 680,000 square meters and a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of 260 million yuan. The library has 2.523 million paper books and 395 kinds of Chinese and foreign paper periodicals/kloc-0.
There are 60 electronic literature databases, 3 109400 e-books, 50700 e-journals and 0/301400 e-journals. At present, there are 32 secondary colleges (including 8 affiliated colleges), offering 73 undergraduate majors (including 32 normal majors), with more than 700 faculty members/kloc-0 and more than 27,000 full-time undergraduates.
