Jiangsu Grand Theatre stands on the bus side. There are three bus lines (7, 126, 160) near the Grand Theatre. Get off at the nearest Jinling Library Station and walk for about 20 minutes to reach the entrance and exit of the Grand Theatre. Because there is no subway and bus station directly connected to the entrance and exit of the Grand Theatre, the audience needs to walk around the ground for a long time, which is very inconvenient in winter and summer or in rainy and snowy weather, especially when the traffic is busy, and there are safety hazards such as traffic jams and accidents.
Extended data
Jiangsu Grand Theatre is designed by East China Architectural Design and Research Institute. The design purpose comes from "water", which is consistent with the regional characteristics of "mountain, water and forest" in Nanjing. Because it is adjacent to the Yangtze River, it also expresses the concepts of "water rhyme Jiangsu" and "confluence into a river".
The overall design of Jiangsu Grand Theatre is in the shape of "lotus leaf water drops", with four "water drops" inclined to the center at the top, showing petal-like texture on the roof of the building, creating the effect of rolling "water drops" on the lotus leaf. Four water drops are four functional areas of Jiangsu Grand Theatre, including opera hall, drama hall, concert hall and variety hall.
In order to match the two striking red arches in Nanjing Olympic Sports Center, the color of "Water Drop" in Jiangsu Grand Theatre is blue-white gradient, and the blue-white gradient also represents the stripes of Nanjing Rainflower Stone.
