Why are smokers in universities not ashamed, but proud?
There are many hazards of smoking, which are common in our clinic, including: increasing the risk of lung cancer, causing pharyngitis, inducing bronchial diseases, causing arteriosclerosis, causing oral cancer, abortion, fetal malformation, and causing gastroesophageal reflux disease.

1. Increase the risk of lung cancer: I believe many people know that tobacco contains more nicotine, which is not good for the human body. Smoking will increase nicotine intake, especially in the lungs, which may lead to malignant lesions of lung cells and tissues and increase the risk of lung cancer.

2. Cause pharyngitis: When smoking, smoke will be inhaled into the lungs or discharged from the nasal cavity through the pharynx, which will repeatedly stimulate the pharynx, cause damage to the pharyngeal mucosa, and also take away more water, leaving the pharyngeal mucosa in a dry state, which is easy to cause pharyngitis. After pharyngitis, patients may have symptoms such as foreign body sensation in pharynx, cough and expectoration.

3. Inducing bronchial diseases: When smoke enters the bronchus, it will cause an increase in bronchial secretions or cause bronchial contraction due to smoke stimulation, thus inducing diseases such as bronchial asthma and bronchitis, which is very unfavorable to our health.

4. Cause arteriosclerosis: Nicotine in tobacco will have adverse effects on human blood vessels after entering the blood, such as reducing the compliance and elasticity of arteries, causing arteriosclerosis, affecting blood circulation, increasing blood viscosity, and causing stenosis and occlusion after arteriosclerosis. Thereby increasing the risk of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, stroke and other diseases, and the harm is relatively great.

5. Cause oral carcinogenesis: When smoking, smoke will pass through the oral cavity, and it will also cause certain irritation to the oral mucosa, which may cause oral carcinogenesis.
