Shenyang jianzhu university Library has a building area of nearly 25,000 square meters, and the building pattern is transparent and large-bay, which adopts the method of loan and return. The library is open to readers in all directions and around the clock, and the weekly opening time exceeds 100 hours. At the same time, online booking, renewal and other services were carried out. Readers can enter the library with the campus card and carry their backpacks freely.
The new library adheres to the principle of "readers first, teachers first", and the humanistic spirit of "people-oriented" is fully demonstrated in the service mode, environmental design, resource construction and information provision ability of the new library. The new library has seven floors: one underground and six above ground. It adopts the management mode of borrowing, reading and hiding. The reading area is 200 square meters ~ 1024 square meters, and there are nearly 2000 reader seats in the whole building.
The library has a collection of more than 6.5438+0.05 million volumes, mainly in civil engineering and architecture, covering mechanical, environmental, information, art and other majors. While providing paper books and periodicals, the library purchased 10 online databases in Chinese and foreign languages: CNKI, Wan Fang Data, CCPD, EI, PQDD, Springer, ASCE, Ebsco, Superstar E-books, Scholars' Home E-books, etc.
Since June 65438+February, 2008, 340,000 books of various kinds have been added, and remote access e-books 1.86 million books have been added. In order to meet the development requirements of the library, the library purchased the integrated automation management system of Beihou University, which uses OROCLE database and is based on UNIX operating platform.
On the basis of traditional services, online booking, renewal and other services have been launched. Taking the new building as the material platform, the software and hardware environment of the library has also been greatly improved. The new library has nearly 65,438+0,200 computer information points, and the network environment is excellent. The electronic literature reading room has more than 300 readers' computers and 10 OPAC retrieval terminals.
The library will continue to forge ahead, deepen the connotation construction, and strive to build a digital library with architectural characteristics ahead of similar institutions, making it an information center, learning center, knowledge center and academic center of the school.
