In order to provide a good reading environment for the masses, meet the people's growing needs for a better life, and help the construction of a famous cultural city in Ganzhou, the first floor of the new building of the comprehensive cultural and art center of the city is scheduled to be put into trial operation on June 25, 2022, when readers and friends will be provided with borrowing and self-study services.

The first floor is divided into children's reading area, Gannan non-legacy theme library, visually impaired reading area and urban learning area, with a total area of 3,565 square meters.

The children's reading room is the core area on the first floor, with a total area of about1.200m2.. The area is divided into toy book area, parent-child reading paradise, children's interactive experience area and other characteristic areas, providing all kinds of children's book lending services. After the official operation, various children's education and reading promotion activities will be held.

Gannan Hakka Intangible Theme Library mainly displays Ganzhou intangible cultural heritage to readers through books, objects and videos, and provides more than 7,600 kinds of intangible theme books for readers to read in the library. After the official operation, lectures, exhibitions, learning experiences and other activities with intangible themes will be held regularly every month to promote Hakka culture in Gannan and enrich the cultural life of Ganzhou citizens.

The reading room for the visually impaired is equipped with blind seats and various Braille books and audio materials to meet the reading needs of the visually impaired. With the concept of "equality, openness and integration", it is committed to eliminating the difficulties for the disadvantaged groups to use the library, creating a good reading environment for the visually impaired, providing high-quality reading services, and ensuring that the visually impaired generally enjoy the library resources equally.

According to the requirements of intelligence, standardization and standardization, the city study room has built a model reading space, equipped with 2000 books, intelligent bookshelves 1 each and leisure reading seats 100. Books cover literature, art, history, politics, law, economy, natural science, social science and other contents to meet the reading needs of different groups of people.

The construction of Ganzhou Comprehensive Culture and Art Center started in June, 20 18, and the new library project of Ganzhou City is a part of it. The whole project includes the city library, the city cultural center, the grand theater and the surrounding cultural landscape, with a total investment of 866 million yuan, which was built by Ganzhou Chengtou Group. The city library project covers an area of more than 8,000 square meters. The building is divided into four floors above ground, one underground and six mezzanine floors, with a building area of about10.6 million square meters.
