Borrowing books is handled as follows:
1. Readers must return the lent documents on time. If the book is not returned within the time limit, an overdue reminder notice will be issued to suspend the return of the book until the overdue book is returned;
2. If the book is defaced or scribbled, it will be compensated according to the book price 1 to 2 times;
3. Damaged book bar codes, each bar code shall be compensated at 1.00 yuan;
4. According to the principle of fairness and justice, the library makes book compensation measures with reference to the standard of book loss compensation and the publishing years of books in ordinary university libraries.
Will the library deduct the money for overdue books?
The regulations of libraries in different places may be different. If the expiration time is too long, a certain fee will be charged. According to different situations, the library will be fined if it fails to borrow after the time limit, but the amount of the fine is generally not high. If the time is too long, the late payment fee will reach dozens or even hundreds.
To sum up, if the borrowed books are not returned on time, they will be stopped. After the loan suspension period expires, the borrowing authority can be resumed.

Readers should abide by the relevant regulations of public libraries, consciously maintain the order of public libraries, cherish the literature information, facilities and equipment of public libraries, and make legal use of literature information; Borrowed documents and materials shall be returned within the prescribed time limit.
Public library staff have the right to discourage and stop acts that destroy the literature information, facilities and equipment of public libraries or disturb the order of public libraries; Public libraries can stop providing services to those who are discouraged and stopped.
Article 53
Whoever damages the literature information, facilities and equipment of public libraries or fails to return the borrowed literature information within the prescribed time limit, thus causing property losses or other damages, shall bear civil liability according to law.
