JRC 920 1 Electronic Sea does not show the past track of this ship. How to call it out?
There are two sources of information for electronic chart correction: formal correction data and manual correction data. The official correction data is the digital chart correction data provided by the official ENC production department. When the ship is sailing, the formal correction data can be directly transmitted to the ship through satellite communication lines. For example, the EGC broadcast of Inmarsat-C can send ENC correction information to all ships sailing in a certain sea area, and the ship station C can automatically input ECDIS after receiving this information to realize the automatic correction of ENC. When the ship is in port, it can provide formal correction data to the ship by floppy disk, CD, etc. Users can realize semi-automatic correction of ENC through simple operation.

For chart correction information provided by non-hydrological institutions, such as coastal radio warning, local navigation notice/ship notice,

Only manual calibration can be used. However, manual correction is troublesome and error-prone. Once these chart corrections are officially released by hydrographic agencies through official ENC update information, the official ENC update information will replace the manual correction information as soon as possible.

Ukho has a special document for each ecdis to introduce the upgrade.

China's official electronic chart organizations include the Aviation Insurance Department and the Maritime Safety Administration.
