Henan Institute of Science and Technology cooperated with huixian city Municipal People's Government to establish a higher vocational and technical college to provide huixian city with better and more skilled talents. According to the agreement, the huixian city Municipal Government plans to invest 50 million yuan in the construction of hardware including the main teaching building, student dormitories, training venues, libraries, student canteens, underground pipe network laying, teaching bases, scientific research test sites, etc. within two years, and upgrade software such as teaching, management and logistics services. The college offers higher and secondary vocational education, with higher vocational and technical education as the main body. In the next two to three years, the secondary vocational and technical education resources of huixian city Vocational Secondary School and the vocational secondary school affiliated to Henan Institute of Science and Technology will be integrated, and the majors of electromechanical integration, CNC machine tools, automobile maintenance and tourism management suitable for Huixian economy will be declared as planned. In terms of the scale of student development, we will strive to reach 2,500-3,000 students in higher vocational and technical colleges and1500-2,000 students in secondary vocational and technical education within 3-5 years.
