Brief introduction of library automation
Using computer technology to automatically complete all the work of the library. The work of a library can generally be divided into: (1) drafting and purchasing books, (2) cataloging, classification and specific preparation, (3) retrieval and reference, (4) circulation, that is, counting and borrowing materials in the library, and (5) interlibrary loan and borrowing. The so-called library automation is to use computers to automatically complete the above work.

Library automation mainly includes software, hardware and personnel, among which software is the key factor of automation. The choice of software is directly related to whether the expected design goal of automation system can be realized. Only by relying on the support of software can we give full play to the advantages of computers and improve work efficiency and quality.
