Yingtianfu Academy, also known as Yingtian Academy, Suiyang Academy, Nanjing Academy, Du Nan Academy and Nanjing imperial academy, is located in the south lake of Shangqiu Ancient City, Suiyang District, Shangqiu City, Henan Province. It is one of the four ancient academies in China. According to historical records, "county learning began here". Yingtianfu Academy, formerly known as Suiyang Academy, was founded in the late Jin Dynasty by Yang Gu, a native of Shangqiu. In the second year of the Northern Song Dynasty (1009), Song Zhenzong changed Yingtian Academy into a government-run school, called Yingtianfu Academy, and officially awarded the title of Yingtianfu Academy. In the seventh year of Xianghe in Zhong Da University (10 14), Yingtianfu (now Shangqiu, Henan Province) was upgraded to Nanjing and became the capital of the Song Dynasty. Yingtian Academy is also called "Nanjing Academy". In the third year of Li Qing (1043), Yingtianfu Academy was upgraded to "Nanjing imperial academy", the highest institution of learning in the Northern Song Dynasty, and it was the only academy in China that was upgraded to imperial academy in ancient times.

Most of the academies in the Northern Song Dynasty are located in the mountain resorts, while Tianfu Academy is located in the bustling urban area, with abundant talents. With the participation of Yan Shu and Fan Zhongyan, Yingtianfu Academy gradually developed into the most influential academy in the Northern Song Dynasty. The main attractions of the academy are: the pilgrimage hall, Dacheng Hall, the front lecture hall, the entrance of the academy, the royal library, the Champion Bridge, the instructor's room, the Minglun Hall and the cloister room. Fan Zhongyan's Nanjing Academy has the saying that "everything depends on it". "Nine Dynasties" contains: "Song Xing, the capital of the world, is a lesson." The history of Yingtianfu Academy can be traced back to the Late Jin Dynasty (936-947). After the demise of the Tang Dynasty, the history of China entered a split period of "Five Dynasties and Ten Countries". The official school was destroyed, and Xu Xiang lost the opportunity of education. There are a number of private schools in the Central Plains, which should be the product of Tianfu Academy. At that time, Yang Yun, a native of Shangqiu, was willing to receive education. With the help of General Zhao Zhi, he founded Suiyang School and called people to give lectures. After his death, his student Qi Wentong continued to manage the school. It trained celebrities such as Zongdu, Xu Xiang, Gao Xiangxian and Guo, and later became an important official of Taiji. Suiyang School gradually formed an academic and cultural exchange and education center, but after the death of Qi, the school was once closed.

In the second year of Xianghe University (A.D. 1009), the rich man in the city invested 3 million gold in the places where Qi studied, built houses 150, and collected more than 500 books 1500 to recruit students. The following year, Qi Shunbin, the grandson of Qi, was employed as an attending hospital, served as a teaching assistant and founded an academy. "There are many lectures on everything in Bo Yang." . He is willing to sacrifice his knowledge to officials, and the real imperial clan emperor will also praise him, "face will hit." He issued an imperial edict in recognition of scholars in Tang Ming. He wrote Selected Works for the Ming Dynasty scholar Shengdu. Chen Yaozu, a former politician, once wrote a title, whose name should be Tianfu Academy.
