Suning County is located in the alluvial plain of Haihe River, mainly planting wheat, corn and other crops. It is a national commodity grain base and one of the major grain-producing counties in the core area of Hebei Province. The industries are mainly fur processing, knitted garments, food processing and book printing and distribution.
Geology: Suning County is located in Raoyang sag of Jizhong sag on the western edge of Bohai Bay Basin, and most towns and villages are located on the western slope of the sag. The basement of the Tertiary bottom boundary or Cenozoic is buried at a depth of 7000m. There are six buried hill structures in the territory: Dawangzhuang Buried Hill Structure, Dawangzhuang North Buried Hill Structure, Liangjiacun Buried Hill Structure, Hejian Buried Hill Structure, Liu Liu Buried Hill Structure and Suning Buried Hill Structure, mainly including Hejian-Liu Liu Fault, Liangjiacun-Lujiazhuang Fault, Dawangzhuang Fault, Suning Fault and Wuchi Fault.
Suning County is located in the north-central part of North China Plain, which belongs to the alluvial plain of Heilonggang Basin of Haihe River system, with open and flat terrain and no peaks and hills. It is higher in the southwest, and the highest point is Xitan Village, Sushi Township, with an altitude of17m, which is also the highest point in Cangzhou City. It is lower in the east and northeast, and the lowest place is Zhujiazhuang Village, Shao Zhuang Township, with an altitude of 9.5 meters.
Suning county has a warm temperate and semi-humid continental monsoon climate. Four distinct seasons, abundant sunshine, rich heat, rain and heat in the same season.
The soil in Suning county is mainly fluvo-aquic soil, which is divided into two subtypes: ordinary fluvo-aquic soil and saline fluvo-aquic soil, including 6 soil genera and 26 soil species. The soil texture is medium sandy and cohesive.
