The school is located at No.4 Luojinqiao, Yanfeng District, Hengyang City, Hunan Province.

Hengyang Preschool Teachers College was formed by the merger of Hengyang Preschool Teachers College, Leiyang Teachers College and Hengyang Art School, and was put on record by the Ministry of Education in May 2020.

At present, the school covers an area of 746.5 mu, of which 3 10.2 mu is newly added. It will be built in two phases with an investment of 950 million yuan in the first phase. The upgrading of the old campus has been completed, and the construction of the new campus has been fully launched. The music building, library, preschool education building and student dormitory of the first-phase construction project have started construction, and the main construction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2020. The school will be included in the enrollment sequence of colleges and universities in 2020, and plans to recruit 1500 full-time freshmen from colleges and universities.
