Liu Xiu, the grandson of Liu Bang IX, was born in Nanyang County. At the end of the new dynasty, the country was in chaos and thieves and bees were everywhere. In the third year of the Yellow Emperor (22 years), he set out in Wan (now Nanyang City, Henan Province). In 25 years, he became emperor in Yan County. He changed his name to "Han" and was known as the Eastern Han Dynasty in history. Since then, Liu Xiu has gradually eliminated all forces and finally unified China.
During his reign, agriculture and handicrafts were restored and developed under the background of serious damage caused by the war from the fourth year of Xinwang Tianfeng (17) to the early stage of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the political situation was stable, which was called "Guangxu Zhongxing" in history.
In the thirty-second year of Liu Xiu, the society gradually recovered from the turmoil in the last years of the new dynasty, so it was called "Guangxu Zhongxing". In the second year of Jianwu Zhongyuan (57 years), Liu Xiu died in Luoyang.
