1994, the library used dancheng management software in book cataloging, becoming the first library in Gansu province to use automatic integrated management system. 1996 has opened subsystems such as editing, circulation, periodicals and online public catalog retrieval, realizing full automation of book management. With the access of our campus network to China Education Network in 2000, the library began to plan digital construction, and a digital library with "digital resources, networked access and distributed management" as its core was built at the end of 2003. The digital hardware of the library adopts SAN storage architecture and ISDPacific5200 disk array, with a storage capacity of 3.5TB. The disk array and supporting equipment are connected by pure optical fiber that can provide 2GB transmission rate. The optical cable of the library is connected to the Internet through the campus network of1000 m.
By the beginning of 20 13, our library had adopted the management mode of "mirror image+package library" for electronic resources, and also joined the * * * sharing alliance of national library, CALIS and other resources, forming a distributed management system. The network electronic document guarantee system has achieved the goal of providing services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and provided good services for the information guarantee of teaching and scientific research. The library follows the principle of "reader first, service first". Books and periodicals are borrowed from open shelves. At present, it has more than 3000 licensed readers/kloc-0, more than 750,000 books in circulation and an annual circulation of 480,000 copies (times). The reading room receives more than 40,000 readers140,000 times, and the annual visit of electronic resources is 45 10/00,000 times. With the deepening of library services, digital services continue to develop and personalized services develop rapidly.
The Party branch of the library often organizes all the people to seriously practice Theory of Three Represents and Scientific Outlook on Development, so as to improve the theoretical level and ideological quality of the staff and establish the work style of loving their posts and being dedicated and selfless. In addition to doing a good job in resource construction and service, the library also organizes employees to go out for inspection, learn from the advanced technology and management experience of brother libraries, and advocate studying problems in combination with their own work. Many articles have won awards, which has improved the professional quality of employees. The library trade union actively organizes employees to participate in various school activities, and also organizes various forms of cultural and sports activities in the library to enrich employees' spare time life and create a good atmosphere of unity and harmony. Every year, the Library Party carries out "Celebrating July 1st and Giving Love" activities, and organizes employees to send clothes, books, stationery and sporting goods to Hope Primary School in poor areas.
During the 11th Five-Year Plan period, the new campus of Lanzhou University of Commerce will be completed and the library will undergo fundamental changes. The building area reaches 40,000 square meters, the reading seats reach 5,000, the electronic resources account for 30% of the literature resources collection, and the subscription of Chinese and foreign periodicals remains above 1500; Fully meet the literature needs of postgraduate and undergraduate education in various disciplines; Expand the ways of providing literature information materials, strengthen information consulting services, and extensively expand the educational and economic functions of libraries.
