The predecessor of Gaoming District Library in Foshan City is Gaohe County Library. Gaoming Library was established after the organizational system was restored in February 1982, and the building was temporarily located in the government compound of sanzhou town. July 1984, moved to Wenhua Lane, Cangjiang Road. 1February, 989 The independent building of Gaoming Library was completed and opened, located at No.56 Wenchang Road. In April 2004, the expansion project of the building was completed, with a total area of 3,680 square meters. In August, 2006, Xijiang Xincheng Sub-branch and Hai Yin Sub-branch were added, with a total area of 865,438+0.30 square meters. Built-in function rooms include: Wenchang self-service library, network information reading room (accreditation office, Shengfan intelligent book bar, study room, multifunctional academic lecture hall, comprehensive book lending room, children's reading room, editing room, comprehensive reading room, Aiwen special collection room and local literature reference room. Gaoming District Library was awarded the title of "National First Class Library" by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2004, 2009, 20 14 and 2008.
