The construction project of Ningxia Grand Theatre is another major cultural infrastructure project decided by the Party Committee and government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region after the museums and libraries in the autonomous region, which is a milestone in the history of cultural engineering construction in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Its design standard is the national large-scale first-class theater. Ningxia Grand Theatre covers an area of 5.4 hectares with a building area of 486 10 square meter. There are 2 theaters, 2 VIP rooms and 2 conference rooms. There are three rehearsal halls, and the audience area of the Grand Theatre is horseshoe-shaped. * * * There are three floors, each with six small doors, which can accommodate more than 1400 people. The small theater has a total area of about 525 square meters and can accommodate up to 406 seats. There is also an underground garage, which can accommodate more than 200 cars. [ 1]

Ningxia Grand Theatre is a large-scale theater building with the largest scale, the most complete functions and the most advanced facilities in the history of public cultural facilities construction in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is a landmark building with regional characteristics, an important window to show the achievements of spiritual civilization construction in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and an important symbol of the cultural and social development level of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It has played a very positive role in holding various performances, popularizing the knowledge of song and dance, opera and music to the public, and improving the public's appreciation level and cultural literacy.

The design unit of Ningxia Grand Theatre Project is Hangzhou Zhonglian Cheng Taining Architectural Design and Research Institute, and the core concept of its architectural creativity is "flowers are like flowers"-harmony, auspiciousness and hope. The architectural style is novel, with a circular bottom and petal-shaped facade plates surrounding the central dome, which combines the spirit of the times and the traditional cultural characteristics of the nation.

Since Ningxia Performing Arts Group entrusted Ningxia Grand Theatre in August 20 15, it has performed 44 performances. It is estimated that there will be 100 performances per year, 20 public welfare (Huimin) performances, 30 cinema performances and 50 tourism and cultural performances. The annual performance is arranged in the form of performance season, performance month and performance week. It covers an area of about 525 square meters and can accommodate up to 406 seats.
