1. Basic introduction: The library of North China University of Science and Technology is located on the main axis of the new campus of North China University of Science and Technology. It is the most important main building on campus, with a total designed building area of 78,065,438+00 ㎡, a collection of 3 million books and 4,700 reading seats. The main building is eight stories high, with a building height of 4 1.35m and a main building length of170.90mm. Its functions include China Moral Education Museum, School History Museum, Art Museum, Network Center, Audio-visual Education Center and lecture hall for 600 people. It is a modern university library with complex functions and huge scale.

2. Internal creation: space creation based on convenient internal use and focusing on space experience. The library has 17 spaces (10 atrium, side yard and 7 courtyards). They are as interesting as the restlessness factor in the homogeneous space, which greatly enriches the spatial feelings placed in them and makes the library reflect the uniqueness and novelty of modern universities in the outer suburbs. Each place has its own spatial characteristics, and at the same time, it solves the problems of internal transportation, lighting, ventilation, functional zoning and so on, making the library the most sticky and humanized place on campus.

3. Highlights of the library: Facing the library, people always have endless expectations and imagination, and the library has become the most irreplaceable architectural type with spiritual attributes in the knowledge hall of the university campus. Based on this, when we design the new campus of North China University of Science and Technology, a prerequisite in the overall planning and layout is to give the library a unique central position, so that its role effect can be expressed as an irreplaceable symbol, thus giving off a strong cohesive force to the whole campus.
