When shooting portrait photography, some photographers may encounter such problems: the exposure of one piece is too bright, or some areas are overexposed, and the expected effect cannot be achieved without adding it. At this time, you can control the increase level of camera exposure by setting the "exposure control EV Step" menu option. You can set the range of shutter speed, aperture, exposure and flash compensation, and surrounding exposure in "EV step of exposure control", and you can choose 1/3 step or 1/2 step. After selection, the camera will increase or decrease the exposure with the selected amplitude, and the exposure will change with the amplitude of each adjustment level+1/3EV(+ 1/2EV) or-1/3EV(- 1/2EV).
Obviously, the step size of 1/3 is more accurate than that of 1/2, especially when the spot metering mode is used and the step size of 1/3 is used for adjustment, the exposure of the picture increases more slowly, which is convenient for viewing and comparing the subtle changes of the picture. When shooting in an environment with small light ratio and uniform light, the step size of 1/2 can be used for adjustment.
Enter the custom setting menu, and select b2 exposure control EV step size option in B metering/exposure. Press or arrow keys to select 1/3 step or 1/2 step. When shooting a portrait and other objects that need careful control, the exposure increment is usually set to 1/3 steps. If the exposure of photos taken in the same scene is different, then choose the peripheral shooting mode. To cancel the hemming mode, you can press the BKT button and rotate the indicator wheel until the hemming process indication and BKT icon are no longer displayed, or the number of sheets is 0F.
