Evaluation Index System of Top 100 Cities in China
The evaluation index system includes five first-level subsystems: population and labor force, economic development, social development, infrastructure and environment.

1. Population and labor force: it includes three secondary subsystems: population size, quality and structure, management and utilization, and consists of five indicators: total population, the proportion of employees in the tertiary industry to the total population, the proportion of people with college education or above to the total population, unemployment rate and natural population growth rate;

2. Economic development: it includes four secondary subsystems: economic scale, economic structure, economic development and economic benefit, which are composed of gross domestic product, investment in fixed assets, foreign direct investment, total freight volume, total import and export volume, fiscal revenue, the proportion of added value of tertiary industry in GDP, GDP growth rate, per capita GDP, profits and taxes provided by industrial enterprises with 100 yuan of funds, power consumption of 10,000 yuan of GDP, and per capita.

3. Social development: including five secondary subsystems: residents' income and consumption level, housing and medical services, science and technology education and culture, social security and social security. 16 indicators: per capita consumption expenditure, Engel coefficient, per capita year-end savings deposit balance, per capita housing area, gas penetration rate, per capita living electricity consumption, total number of hospital beds, doctors per 10,000 people, expenditure on science and education, number of cinemas per 10,000 people, per capita book collection, number of criminal cases per 100,000 people, number of traffic accidents per 100,000 people, and number of people below the minimum living guarantee line.

4. Infrastructure: including three secondary subsystems of transportation, communication, water supply and drainage and electric power, and eight indicators: added value of transportation and post and telecommunications, per capita paved road area, average passenger capacity of buses and trams, total post and telecommunications business, per capita telecom business income, comprehensive production capacity of water plants, density of drainage pipe network and annual electricity consumption;

5. Environment: It includes four secondary subsystems: population density, investment, garbage disposal and greening, and consists of nine indicators: urban population density, investment in environmental pollution control, output value of comprehensive utilization of three wastes, comprehensive utilization of industrial garbage, domestic sewage treatment rate, sewage discharge treatment compliance rate, domestic garbage harmless treatment rate, green space coverage rate in built-up areas and per capita green space area.
