Spanish immigrants from Guatemala published the Spanish newspaper Guatemala Gazette on 1729. The British colonial authorities in Jamaica published the English weekly Weekly News on 17 17. Spanish immigrants from Mexico founded the Mexican Gazette on 1722. On 1878, the Uruguayan Church founded the Spanish-language newspaper "Commonweal".
On 1803, Australian and British immigrants from Oceania founded the English weekly Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertising. By 1886, there are already 48 daily newspapers in Australia, and Sunday newspapers have been published. British immigrants from New Zealand published The Spectator of New Zealand and Great Britain on 1840.
